भारत के financial और regulatory sector में दो अहम नियुक्तियां हुई हैं। Reserve Bank of India (RBI) और Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) ने अपने senior leadership में बदलाव करते हुए नए Executive Directors की नियुक्ति की है।
Monisha Chakravarti को RBI का Executive Director नियुक्त किया गया है, जबकि Prasanta Mahapatra ने SEBI में Executive Director का पद संभाल लिया है। इन नियुक्तियों से दोनों प्रमुख financial regulators की regulatory और operational व्यवस्था को और मजबूत करने में मदद मिलने की उम्मीद है।
RBI ने Monisha Chakravarti को बनाया Executive Director
Reserve Bank of India (RBI) ने Monisha Chakravarti को Executive Director (ED) नियुक्त किया है। अपनी नई जिम्मेदारी में वह RBI के दो महत्वपूर्ण विभागों की देखरेख करेंगी:
- Foreign Exchange Department
- Financial Markets Regulation Department
Chakravarti RBI में तीन दशकों से अधिक समय से काम कर रही हैं। अपने लंबे career के दौरान उन्होंने financial supervision, foreign exchange management और government तथा bank accounts से जुड़े क्षेत्रों में काम किया है। RBI में अपने कार्यकाल के दौरान उन्होंने कई महत्वपूर्ण institutional initiatives में योगदान दिया है। इनमें RBI के Balance Sheet और Profit & Loss Account के format की समीक्षा करने वाली technical committee में उनकी भूमिका भी शामिल रही है। वह Banking Ombudsman के रूप में भी काम कर चुकी हैं। Monisha Chakravarti ने Delhi University से Economics में Bachelor’s degree और Business Economics में Master’s degree हासिल की है।
SEBI में Prasanta Mahapatra ने संभाला Executive Director का पद
इसी बीच, Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) में भी senior leadership में महत्वपूर्ण बदलाव हुआ है। Prasanta Mahapatra ने Executive Director का पद संभाल लिया है। Executive Director बनने से पहले वह SEBI में Chief General Manager के पद पर कार्यरत थे।
नई जिम्मेदारी में Mahapatra SEBI के दो महत्वपूर्ण विभागों का नेतृत्व करेंगे:
- Corporation Finance Investigation Department
- Recovery and Refund Department
Prasanta Mahapatra ने अप्रैल 1999 में SEBI के साथ अपना career शुरू किया था। SEBI में 27 वर्षों से अधिक के अपने career के दौरान उन्होंने कई महत्वपूर्ण departments की जिम्मेदारी संभाली है। वह SEBI के Eastern Regional Office, Kolkata में भी अपनी सेवाएं दे चुके हैं।
RBI और SEBI में नई नियुक्तियों का क्या है महत्व?
RBI और SEBI देश के financial system और capital markets की निगरानी करने वाली प्रमुख regulatory institutions हैं। RBI monetary policy, banking system और foreign exchange से जुड़े महत्वपूर्ण क्षेत्रों की देखरेख करता है, जबकि SEBI capital markets और investors के हितों की सुरक्षा के लिए काम करता है।
इन दोनों संस्थानों में senior-level appointments ऐसे समय में हुई हैं, जब भारत के financial markets में मजबूत regulation, corporate compliance और financial stability की भूमिका लगातार बढ़ रही है।
Monisha Chakravarti और Prasanta Mahapatra की नियुक्तियां दोनों संस्थानों में senior experience और institutional expertise को आगे बढ़ाने की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण कदम मानी जा रही हैं। इससे market regulation, corporate compliance, foreign exchange management और financial integrity से जुड़े कामों को और मजबूती मिलने की उम्मीद है।
